Boutique Comfortable Accommodations
We are excited to welcome you to Antigua! We guarantee a comfortable stay at Good Hotel Antigua in beautifully designed bedrooms that blend Dutch inspiration with natural materials for optimal comfort. The hotel's commitment to social impact directs excess profits to global causes. By empowering the long-term unemployed and prioritizing sustainability in construction and sourcing, Good Hotel offers guests a stylish and comfortable retreat where every stay actively contributes to positive social and environmental change. It's a haven for conscious travelers seeking both a restful experience and a meaningful impact.
Local Cuisine
On this trip, you will have the opportunity to try local cuisine in Antigua, Guatemala. Local Guatemalan dishes blend indigenous Mayan ingredients and Spanish influences. We recommend trying pepián, a spiced meat stew, or chuchitos, small steamed masa pockets with various fillings, to taste the region's diverse culinary offerings. Whether it's the savory tamales or the local street vendors' delights, Antigua's food scene is a cultural experience against the backdrop of volcanoes and a colorful city.
Explore Antigua From A Local Perspective
You will have the unique experience of exploring Guatemala with Heart of Travel and StoveTeam International as your guides. You will have the opportunity to connect with community leaders, visit local businesses in Antigua and Indigenous communities, and meet families who have benefited from StoveTeam's Justa stoves. This curated experience offers more than just a trip—it's a chance to immerse yourself in Guatemala's culture, discovering meaningful stories and connections along the way.
Touch The Project, StoveTeam Immersion
With this project, you will learn about StoveTeam’s International current projects, including their Maestros Comaleros Training where they train local people to build stoves in homes in rural communities. You will visit StoveTeam’s factory space and have a hands-on experience learning how StoveTeam builds their stoves. You will engage with the dedicated StoveTeam team and visit homes where cooking is done using open-fire as well as those benefiting from the innovative Justa stoves. This immersive experience goes beyond learning – it's an opportunity to touch lives and witness firsthand the positive impact of StoveTeam's transformative work.
