What exactly is Heart of Travel Trip Protection?
It’s a $200 add-on that allows you to cancel for any reason and still retain most or all of your money—either as a full refund or a generous travel credit, depending on the timing.
How does this differ from your standard cancellation policy?
Under our standard terms, refunds decrease the closer we get to departure (and deposits are non-refundable after 24 hrs). Heart of Travel Trip Protection provides you with a more generous and flexible cancellation policy:
- Cancel your trip 121 days out without penalty (full refund, including deposit)
- Cancel your trip 60-120 days out and receive the full trip value in HOT Credit.
- Cancel your trip 59 days or less and receive 70% of the trip value in HOT Credit.
When should I purchase Trip Protection?
Right when you book. It can only be added during checkout and cannot be applied retroactively.
Does Trip Protection replace travel insurance?
No. Trip Protection covers flexible cancellation with Heart of Travel. You may still want to consider traditional travel insurance for medical emergencies, lost luggage, or flight delays.
How do I activate my benefits if I need to cancel?
